For the first time in Asia, SunGard will offer AvantGard GETPAID to clients, which has been available in markets such as the US for some time. The solution is marketed as a collaborative financial management solution that automates workflow to manage the entire order-to-cash process.
It is also provides clients with the opportunity to optimise their order-to-cash process, which in turn helps to improve management of free cashflow. Aside from ultimately lowering operating costs, AvantGard GETPAID also provides an enterprise-wide view of cash and working capital across accounts receivable, account payable and treasury.
The launch of AvantGard GETPAID is the Asia latest offering by SunGard from this suite. The firmÆs AvantGard solutions are already used by over 150 corporates and financial institutions and with the new addition, will enhance treasury data, cash forecasting and risk management for existing suite clients.
In addition to the Asia launch of AvantGard GETPAID, SunGard has also enhanced its support for Kiodex, its commodities trading and risk solution. The firm has added more dedicated support staff in its Singapore offices for Kiodex, responding to requests from clients in the hedge fund world and those with exposure to commodities.
Although well established in Asia, SunGard has also announced additional support for its Monis and Reech solutions, announcing the establishment of additional support for these solutions from Kuala Lumpur. The new support team will focus on Malaysia, Hong Kong, India and Australia. Monis caters to derivative traders through a suite of products, while Reech is a risk management engine and derivatives pricing solution.
The new solution launches follow an active 2006 for SunGard in the region. Aside from appointing new members on the sales side, the technology solution provider recently announced that it would expanding in Asia-Pacific.
Responding to demands from clients eyeing treasury management solution that can cater for their global cash management and multi-currency capabilities, the firm named two new specialists in Japan and South Korea, while appointing John Morgan to the role of managing director for SunGardÆs AvantGard solutions in Asia-Pacific.
SunGard now boosts dedicated staff members in 12 offices in 10 countries across the region and counts over 400 clients in Asia-Pacific.
