Alison Tudor-Ackroyd has joined FinanceAsia in Hong Kong as editor. She will be responsible for the brand’s content across platforms, including online, newsletters, mobile, tablet and print.
Tudor-Ackroyd was previously Asia-Pacific finance reporter at the Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong, where she served for three years. Prior to that she was the Japan finance reporter at the Journal in Tokyo. She has also served as a financial reporter at Reuters in her native UK and in Japan.
Jame DiBiasio, editorial director of Haymarket Financial Media, the publisher of FinanceAsia, says Tudor-Ackroyd’s experience and industry knowledge makes her a tremendous asset to the brand.
“The reporters at FinanceAsia are well regarded experts in their fields, and the heart of our brand," he says. "Having someone of Alison’s calibre to lead this team begins an exciting new chapter.”
DiBiasio says Haymarket Financial Media continues to retool in order to best serve its audiences: “We are restructuring our financial brands in order to compete in a post-financial crisis, Silicon Valley-driven world. That means continuing to deliver high-quality, must-read content. Alison is ideally suited to help us achieve this.”
