Barclays Capital has announced the appointment of Andrew Jones as its new head of debt syndicate in Asia. Jones transfers from London where he was previously head of financial institutions syndicate.
Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Geert Vinken, global head of syndicate.
Jones has worked for Barclays since 2000 and before that Credit Suisse First Boston. Before moving to syndicate, he headed short-term trading in London.
Commenting on the appointment, Barclays Asian Chairman Robert Morrice says, "I have been working with Andy for a number of years and am delighted to welcome him to the region. He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of the fixed income markets and a strong track-record of ensuring the best distribution for our clients."
