Bear Stearns has appointed Eddie Lee as co-head of fixed sales for Asia. He will be based in the firm's Hong Kong office and work with Tan Kok Wee.
In the new role, he will dually report to Leonard Feder, head of fixed income and derivatives for Asia and James Egan, head of global fixed income sales.
Lee joins from Calyon where he spent the last four years as regional head of capital markets sales and origination management for Asia ex-Japan. Before this position he spent 20 years at BNP Paribas, where he held similar positions.
Joining Lee from Calyon will Duan Yang, Zhang Ho and Maggie Zhao. Yang comes to Bear Stearns with as senior managing director of derivative sales for China, while Zhang makes the move as a managing director for derivatives sales. Yang and Zhao will be based in Bear Stearns Hong Kong offices and initially report to Lee, while Zhao takes on her vice president role from Beijing.
The division expansion in Hong Kong will also be complemented by the impending arrivals of Rachel Hu, senior managing director of fixed income sales from the group's London offices, while managing director Fufei Zhang will relocate from Singapore.
According to industry sources, more hires in the region are due in the coming months.
