William Liew and Bruce Chan have joined Citigroup with regional and Hong Kong product management roles. Liew becomes regional corporate payables product manager, responsible for expanding the payables capabilities for multinational corporations, top tier local companies and SMEs.
His focus will be on local and cross border payments and developing new products and services. Liew reports to Akash Rathke, head of payables for Asia Pacific, and will be based in Hong Kong.
Prior to taking the post, Liew was responsible for global payments at HSBC and, prior to that, he worked at Bexcom Malaysia, ABN AMRO, and OCBC. He brings experience in both product and sales to Citigroup.
At the same time, Bruce Chan has been given the job of senior product manager at Citigroup, responsible for receivable products in Hong Kong. He reports to Samuel So, the bank's Hong Kong cash product head.
Chan has six years experience in the cash management business and re-joins Citigroup after stints with HSBC, where he focused on developing receivables products and managing customer billing, and ABN AMRO where he held a cash sales role.
