We held a celebratory lunch for our Top 20 Women in Finance at the Shangri-La hotel in Singapore on November 4. These influential women were selected by FinanceAsia in our August cover story for their contribution to the financial industry in the region.
We were pleased to hear from many readers after we published this cover story that the list got women bankers talking about the trials, but also the successes, that they have faced. Younger women started to ask questions: “How did you handle this?” asked some. Or, “I didn’t know you did that...” said others. That was one of the intentions of publishing such a list. We wanted to spark a dialogue.
And, with this luncheon, we continued that dialogue. The event was co-hosted by FinanceAsia and The Financial Women’s Association of Singapore. Women gathered to network and discuss the challenges of climbing the corporate ladder in the financial world. Click here to see photos.
