Readers of FinanceAsia.com will notice some changes during the coming weeks, starting today. None are very dramatic by themselves but we hope the next three months will result in a product that better serves our audiences.
Today we are reorganising how we categorise stories. The section names are not exactly new content, but they better show off the kind of stories we are delivering. We have put a clearer emphasis on news around Banks and Companies. And while capital markets and M&A remain core to our coverage — and retain their own pages — we have consolidated these on our navigation bar as simply Deals.
Following this will be more changes to the design and delivery of content online, culminating in a redesign of FinanceAsia magazine as well as the website. We will also address our subscriptions model.
Nick Ferguson, Anette Jönsson and Denise Wee remain at the heart of our story writing, with a supporting role from Cherie Marriott in Sydney. Alison Tudor-Ackroyd assumed the editor’s role earlier this summer, while digital editor Chris Dodd (formerly of the Financial Times) and China reporter Jing Song (from IFR Asia) are recent joiners. We continue to build the editorial team.
It’s an exciting time for FinanceAsia. I welcome your feedback.
