Molly Chen has been appointed as a China consumer analyst with JPMorgan in Hong Kong. She replaces Vicky Kalb, who has moved to another position within JPMorgan.
Chen comes to JPMorgan from Credit Suisse First Boston, where she was its Greater China specialist in the absolute returns group.
She has also been employed by Deutsche Bank, where she spent several years on its regional telecoms team. In this position, she focused on China telecoms as well as Chinese toll roads.
Her appointment follows the recent hire of Adele Yeo, who will also cover the consumer and media sector in Singapore. The bank says the team is now complete.
Chen will report to Vineet Sharma, JPMorgan's regional head of consumer and media and to Frank Gong, chief economist for China and head of research for China.
