Chris McAuliffe has been appointed head of the Asian industrials group at Citigroup. In his new role, McAuliffe will work side by side with Sydney-based Peter Bacchus, who will co-head the bank's regional industrials practice.
Both men report to Mark Renton, managing director and head of Asian investment banking, plus Greg Polle, global head of the industrials group.
McAuliffe arrives at Citi from CSFB in Singapore, where he was also head of the Asian industrials group. Key deals at the Swiss bank include the IPO's of Shanghai Electric and Air Asia as well as the sale of Daewoo Heavy Industries in Korea.
Prior to moving to Asia in 2000, McAuliffe was a core member of CSFB's London-based transportation & logistics group.
