Clifford Chance has announced two promotions in its Tokyo office, with senior lawyers Paul Greenwell and Angela Krantz both taking on the roll of counsel. Greenwell climbs the ladder as a specialist in asset and structured finance. To the new role he also brings wide experience of most aspects of non-contentious aviation work, including all types of commercial debt financing, export credit financing, tax leases, sale and leasebacks, finance leases and operating leases, as well as financing and leasing transactions involving motor vehicle fleets, rolling-stock, telecommunications equipment and project finance. Greenwell started his legal journey in Australia and worked in London and Paris for several years before joining Clifford Chance's Tokyo office in 2001.
Also in Clifford Chance's Tokyo offices, Krantz brings experience in advising Japanese and non-Japanese clients with respect to corporate and commercial transactions. Based in Tokyo as a lawyer for nine years, the fluent Japanese speaker's practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity, and intellectual property and information technology matters.
She takes on the promotion after joining Clifford Chance in June 2004 from Morrison & Foerster LLP's Tokyo office.
