Proving itself the king of conferences, CLSA has revealed that Blondie and Shaggy are headlining its Investors' Forum Gala on May 22nd.
The two stars will feature at the mid-week bash CLSA is throwing for the 2500 guests expected at its annual conference to be held in Hong Kong from May 20 to May 25. The theme of the party is "Yu To Pia" and it will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Blondie's hits include "Heart of Glass" and "Call Me" , while Shaggy's crowd pleasers include "Boombastic" and "Angel" - perhaps this time dedicated to Angelique Marcil, CLSA's Forum organizer.
In the previous two years CLSA has brought The Corrs and Tom Jones to Hong Kong and speculation has been rife as to who could be brought out to top that. In addition to Blondie and Shaggy, the party animals at CLSA have also booked JosT Padilla of CafT Del Mar fame to provide an ambient background vibe.
With a triple trio of stars such as that, one must remember that the conference is serious business. The theme of the event is "Value Today, Values Tomorrow" and during the five day forum investors, company executives and CLSA analysts will discuss the issues of globalization and trickle down economics.
