Having been involved in telecommunications research for more than eight years, Craig Irvine has been hired to become ING's Head of Telecommunications Research in the Asia Pacific region.
Irvine has a strong background in the telecommunications field. He was head of telecommunications research at Citigroup since 2002. Prior to that, Irvine worked in Merrill Lynch covering telecom sectors in Asia and the US. Both Institutional Investor and Greenwich Associates ranked him top for Asian telecoms, while he was rated number two when he covered the US alternative carriers.
"This is a very important hire for ING as we continue to strengthen our research platform in Asia Pacific," says Peter Johnson, Head of International equities. Based in Singapore, Irvine's first day was yesterday (Tuesday).
