Credit Suisse First Boston has announced a reshuffling of responsibilities for five members of its ex-Japan Asia equity research team. In the most significant change, Victor Kwok takes over from Peter Hilton as head of Hong Kong research, while maintaining his responsibilities as head of regional properties and principal Hong Kong property analyst.
Hilton, meanwhile, will revert to covering the transport sector with extended responsibility to oversee the regional transport and conglomerate research teams.
Joanne Wong will forgo her role as head of Asian conglomerate research to join the China research team, headed by Kenneth Luh. CSFB believe the addition of Wong to the China team will help deepen the firm's coverage in what the bank sees as an increasingly important market.
Finally, Asit Shah, who currently covers Indian consumer counters and country strategy, takes over as head of India research from Ashis Kumar, who has been appointed head of regional tech research.
