CVC Capital Partners, the private equity firm, said on Thursday it has named Jeremy Hobbins as a senior adviser to its Asia team.
Hobbins' appointment is effective immediately and he will be based in Hong Kong.
"Jeremy will bring extensive industry experience and a broad regional network to support CVC's efforts to identify and evaluate cross-border opportunities in Asia," said Roy Kuan, managing partner of CVC Asia.
Hobbins has more than 30 years of international experience in the consumer, retail, sourcing and distribution sectors.
He is currently a director of Fung Holdings (1937), the controlling shareholder of the Fung Group, a logistics, distribution and retailing firm, and also sits of the board of Convenience Retail Asia.
Prior to his current position, Hobbins was the group managing director of Trinity, the Hong Kong listed menswear company.
Hobbins has held a number of executive and board positions in a variety of companies including Li & Fung Retailing, Li & Fung Distribution, Inchcape Marketing Services - Asia Pacific, Inchcape Buying Services, Campbell Soup Company UK and Ault Foods in Canada.
He has also held a number of senior management positions in Procter & Gamble, Hutchison Whampoa and Cadbury Schweppes where he started his career in brand management.
