The equity capital markets kept up the pace this week with $2.1 billion raised from 21 issues. The top three league table rankings remain unchanged with Morgan Stanley holding onto the top spot with $10.2bn, closely followed by UBS on $10.1 billion and Goldman Sachs with $9.2 billion.
Tata SteelÆs $875 million convertible led by ABN AMRO Rothschild, Citi and Standard Chartered Bank was the largest issue of the week. Citi climbed up a notch in the rankings to fifth place after also leading the books with UBS on Parkway Life REITÆs $244 million IPO.
Debt Capital Markets
The debt capital markets stirred back to life this week with $436 million raised from two trades. The league table rankings remain static with Deutsche Bank sitting in first place with $4.9 billion and Citi and JP Morgan rounding out the top three on $4.6 billion and $3.1 billion respectively.
Citi and UBS printed a $336 million trade for Hyundai Capital Services while Lehman Brothers led a $100 million deal for Mobile-8 Telecom Finance.
