The equity capital markets saw a total of $401 million raised from 13 issues this week, bringing year-to-date issuance to $1.7 billion from 31 deals û the highest year-to-date activity since 2004 (when it was $7.3 billion) and up 74% on the volume in the same period 2007. Citi sits at the top of the league table rankings with $725 million, followed by JPMorgan on $265 million, and Kotak Mahindra Finance and ABN AMRO with $153 million each.
The largest issue of the week was First Gen CorpÆs $225 million convertible led by JPMorgan.
Deals scheduled to price next week include Solargiga Energy HoldingsÆ $270 million IPO run by BNP Paribas and a $165 million IPO for Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines led by ATR-KIM Eng Capital Partners, BDO Capital & Investment Corp and UBS.
