Equity Capital Markets
The equity capital markets raised a total of $4.7 billion from 26 issues this week, pushing year-to-date issuance to $19.1 billion – up 49% from the same period last year. Goldman Sachs leads the field in the league table rankings on $2.0 billion, followed by Deutsche Bank with $1.6 billion and Morgan Stanley with $1.0 billion.
Bank Mandiri’s $905 million follow-on was the largest deal of the week and led by Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi, Credit Agricole CIB and Deutsche Bank.
Debt Capital Markets
The debt capital markets activity dropped to three trades this week worth a total of $781 million – the lowest weekly deal flow so far this year. Deutsche Bank continues to lead the DCM ranking with $683 million, closely followed by J.P. Morgan on $619 million and Citi on $541 million.
Woori Bank’s $352 million bond via Morgan Stanley, Nomura, Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclays Capital was the biggest issue of the week. RBS moved into the top five on the back of this deal to sit in the fifth spot with $472 million.
