Activity in the equity capital markets continued at a snailÆs pace this week with $86 million raised from six issues. Year-to-date volume now stands at $57.7 billion from 673 issues û down 64% compared to the same period in 2007 when $159.2 billion worth of deals were priced.
The top 10 league table rankings remain unchanged with Citi leading the field on $5.1 billion, followed by UBS with $3.8 billion and Credit Suisse on $3.7 billion.
Debt Capital Markets
The debt capital markets remained in a rut with zero trades for the tenth week in a row. HSBC, Deutsche Bank and Citi sit in the top three league table places with $2.6 billion, $2.2 billion and $1.6 billion respectively.
