A total of $1.2 billion was raised from 13 issues in the equity capital markets this week. Goldman Sachs retained its first place ranking on $11.4 billion with Morgan Stanley close behind on $11.3 billion followed by UBS in third with $10.7 billion.
Citi, Enam Financial Consultants and Kotak Mahindra Finance ran a $726 million IPO for Power Grid Corp of India, the largest issue of the week. Citi currently sits in fifth place in the rankings.
A number of deals are scheduled to price next week, including SOHO ChinaÆs $1.5 billion IPO bookrun by Goldman Sachs, HSBC and UBS; and DaChan Food (Asia)Æs $197 million IPO led by Cazenove.
