Business communications consultancy, Financial Dynamics, is planning a big push into Asia following the appointment of Diana Footitt as its CEO in the region. Footitt joins the consultancy after a three-year stint at Citigate Drewe Rogerson where she was head of North Asia.
During that time she developed a formidable reputation for winning new business across Greater China and was particularly successful on the Mainland, where she helped steer a number of companies through their international IPO's. She will now be hoping to replicate that success at Financial Dynamics and has plans to build up a sizeable team from her base in Hong Kong.
Footitt says Financial Dynamics is particularly well known for its expertise in the M&A sector. "We've consistently led Mergermarket's M&A communications league tables since their inception," she comments. "We're currently the number one M&A communications advisor in Europe for the first half of this year, both by size and number of transactions. In the US, we're ranked second by number of deals."
And she adds, "We also have an excellent reputation in the IPO market. For example, we were the communications advisor for the largest IPO in the London market in recent years - the £5 billion listing of PartyGaming."
Prior to Footitt's arrival, Financial Dynamics had already made one step into Asia over the past year, having formed a joint venture with one of India's largest independent consultancies, Vaishnavi.
