PR and IR firm, Citigate Dewe Rogerson has appointed Diana Footitt as managing director and head of Greater China following the departure of Matt McGrath.
Footitt has been with the firm since February 2000, but has already made a major impact thanks to her deep investment banking experience - with financial PR being the firm's greatest potential growth area.
Footit learned investment banking on the Salomon training programme (think Liar's Poker), and then did corporate finance at SG Securities and with the boutique, Cavendish in London. She was also CLSA's head of media research.
Nor is she any slouch at communicating. At the FinanceAsia awards dinner last week, she showed why Citigate Dewe Rogerson has entrusted her with its top job by elegantly networking her way around the room.
Described by friends as highly organized and vivacious, her appointment is likely to give the competition pause for thought.
