Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has drafted London-based partner Richard Chalk to head its Asian dispute resolution team. He replaces Rajat Jindal, who returns to London.
Chalk has worked in Asia before, both in Singapore and Hong Kong, and is now returning to the region to lead a team that includes partners Michael Moser and Patrick Swain. "I'm delighted to be returning to Asia," he says. "These are exciting and challenging times for lawyers in this part of the world. I'm thoroughly looking forward to developing the practice further."
Chalk specializes in international arbitration, banking and financial services disputes, fraud proceedings and insolvency litigation. He has advised on many large disputes around the world and while in London even worked with the UK's National Lottery Commission to structure the procedure for selecting a new lottery operator.
Chalk will be based in the firm's Hong Kong office.
