HSBC appoints managing director of leveraged finance

Jeff Bennett will relocate from London to Hong Kong to assume the newly created position.
HSBC has appointed Jeff Bennett as managing director of leveraged and acquisition finance in Asia-Pacific. He previously had the same role in Europe.

Bennett will transfer from London to Hong Kong to take up this newly created role that will see him work with a team focusing on event-driven investment grade and non-investment grade financing, including leveraged buyouts and corporate acquisition financing, refinancing, recapitalisation, restructurings and bridge financing. He will report to David Simons, head of leveraged and acquisition finance in Asia-Pacific.

Bennett has 20 yearsÆ experience in the leveraged finance industry, including seven years at Morgan Stanley, where he was a managing director in the leveraged finance team responsible for event-driven loans and high-yield bonds.
