In Taiwan, Teoh Jin Kok is assuming the top role after driving the business in Singapore where he was head of sales. Teoh worked with Bank of America and Citibank in transaction banking and technology roles before he joined HSBC in April 2000.
Since then he has orchestrated a number of marketing campaigns to multinationals and the public sector resulting in business wins.
Iain Taylor becomes the head of payments and cash management in HSBC's Indonesia office, making the shift from Korea. Prior to his Seoul appointment, Taylor was the head of HSBC's cash business in New Zealand.
Finally, Sam Lim takes over the Korean top job following Taylor's relocation. Since joining HSBC from Citibank in April 2003, Lim has been expanded the bank's cash management offerings to the local market. He has worked in the business for numerous years in Korea.
Announcing the appointments, HSBC's head of payments and cash management, Lawrence Webb, says, "These senior appointees will oversee further expansion of our business in these key cash management markets. We believe there is significant growth potential in serving customers from a local, as well as regional, perspective."
