J.P. Morgan has strengthened its treasury services (TS) management team with three senior appointments.
Abdul Raof Latiff has been appointed head of TS for Asean. He has been at J.P. Morgan for seven years in several corporate and financial institution segment roles. In his new position he is based in Singapore and is responsible for enhancing the bank’s end-to-end client service experience, supporting regional and domestic product and sales initiatives, and leading J.P. Morgan’s growth strategy across the region. Latiff reports to Tom DuCharme, Asia-Pacific chief executive for treasury and security services at J.P. Morgan.
Hooi Ching Wong joins J.P. Morgan as head of TS for Malaysia from Citi Malaysia. In her new role she reports to Latiff and is responsible for overseeing the operational development of the Malaysian arm of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.
In addition, Nadia Schiavon has been appointed head of TS for Australia and New Zealand. She joined J.P. Morgan from Citi Australia and also reports to DuCharme. In her new role she works closely with J.P. Morgan’s global corporate and investment banks and worldwide securities services.
“These appointments mark an important phase in J.P. Morgan’s aggressive international growth agenda,” said DuCharme. “By further aligning our global and regional capabilities with a more sharply focused domestic market presence across Asia-Pacific, we can enhance the range of services we offer to our cross-border clients as they continue to identify growth opportunities and execute their expansions plans.”
J.P. Morgan also created four new country level roles in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam at the end of March this year. In addition, at the beginning of March, Margaret Yao, Hendra Lembong and Adrian Godfrey were named Asia-Pacific regional sales executive, head of cash management and head of client service respectively.
