FinanceAsia announces today that Jame DiBiasio has been named executive editor of Haymarket Financial Media, a new role which includes overall editorial responsibility for AsianInvestor, FinanceAsia and The Corporate Treasurer.
DiBiasio’s new role will be across the portfolio of brands to advance editorial excellence in print and online; to review and implement editorial direction; and to ensure the brands continue to serve their audiences.
DiBiasio is the founding editor of the asset management title AsianInvestor, which launched in 2000. DiBiasio concurrently served as managing editor of FinanceAsia until 2003, when he became fully dedicated to AsianInvestor.
The creation of the executive editor role is part of a restructuring of Haymarket Financial Media. In a related move, group editor of FinanceAsia and The Corporate Treasurer, Lara Wozniak, has left the company.
Wozniak led FinanceAsia for more than five years, and served as group editor for FinanceAsia and The Corporate Treasurer, which launched in 2012. Wozniak joined Haymarket Asia in June 2005 from Dow Jones as senior reporter on FinanceAsia. By October 2007 she had been promoted to editor and she has since overseen two redesigns in print and a major online redesign that have cemented the brand’s position as the leading capital markets title in Asia. She also played an instrumental role in the launch of The Corporate Treasurer in 2012 and had overall responsibility for that brand.
“I’d like to thank Lara for her tremendous contribution over the past seven-and-a-half years, and we all wish her the very best,” said Jonathan Hirst, publisher of Haymarket Financial Media.
Haymarket Financial Media is reviewing internal and external candidates to fill the new role of brand editor of FinanceAsia.
