Deutsche Bank equities research division has announced the appointment of Jing Ulrich as managing director, head of equity research, and product head for greater China. Ulrich will be based in Hong Kong and will report directly to Ed Peter, head of asian equities (ex-Japan) and global emerging markets, and Richard Jones, head of equity research for Asia and Australia.
Ulrich will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Bank’s equity business in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, although with a focus on developing the firm’s equity research.
Ulrich was previously at CLSA Emerging Markets in New York, where she spent over two years being responsible for top institutional client relationships globally. Ulrich earned a formidable reputation between 1996 and 2000 when she led the China-research team for CLSA in Hong Kong.
