International law firm Jones Day has announced that Arman Galledari has joined its Singapore offices as a partner - the firm's fifth in the Lion City. Galledair will utilise his experience in the Middle East, where he has gained significant experience acting for Asian-based clients. At the end of 2006, he will then relocate to the firm's London office (where the majority of Middle east work is serviced from) and continue to work closely with Asia-based clients.
His experience is largely focused on international debt and project finance transactions, with a strong emphasis on the energy sector. In the past, Galledari has acted on a large number of complex energy and infrastructure projects advising private developers and corporates, governments, export credit agencies and lenders on limited recourse financings, debt restructurings and structured financing.
His major international clients include Tanjong, Petronas, Singapore Power, Mitsuibishi, HSBC and US Exim.
Galledari shifts to Jones Day from Norton Rose, where he was managing partner of the Singapore office and head of the energy and project finance group for Asia. Upon making the move, he will be joined by Herman Yip, who also crosses to Jones Day.
