The Seoul branch of JP Morgan Securities (Far East) has appointed Jinsoo Ha, head of equity capital markets (ECM) for Korea, as co-branch manager.
Ha (pictured) will lead the branch together with Tae Jin Park, who is the current branch manager and chairman of Korea. She will also continue in her ECM role.
In her new role, Ha takes on responsibility for overseeing the branch and ensuring that it functions effectively and operating according to the requirements of the local jurisdiction, according to a media statement.
Having joined JP Morgan in 2019 as head of ECM for Korea, Ha has led some large and complex ECM transactions in Korea and is a recognised senior female banker in the Korean capital market. Ha is the first female branch manager of JP Morgan Securities Seoul branch since its establishment.
Howard Kim, senior county officer of JP Morgan Korea, said: “Ha brings a wealth of experience and insights to the role and we are confident that she will continue to enhance our position within this important market.”
Ha added: “JP Morgan is a leading global financial institution and it is critical that we are able to bring our expertise and network to our clients. I’m excited to be a part of this as the firm continues to strengthen our capabilities in order to better serve our clients in Korea and overseas.”
