JPMorgan has hired Krista Yue from Goldman Sachs to head its Taiwan research effort. Based in Taipei, Yue will start on August 1, reporting to Jose Linares who is also new and takes over from Peter Redhead as head of Asian research at the end of this month.
Yue previously covered the banking sector for Goldman and before that was a fund manager for HSBC in London from 1996 to 1999 and in Hong Kong from 1999 to 2001.
In an internal announcement, Redhead says that, "Following on from the recent arrivals of SH Lee in Korea and Sriyan Pietersz in Thailand, this hire completes what has been an 18-month senior analyst hiring programme and gives JPMorgan what we believe is the strongest country and sector analyst line-up in the region."
