JPMorgan treasury services is re-tooling its client services focus to better meet the needs of its large multinational customer base. Simon Jones who now heads up corporate sales and treasury consulting for Southeast Asia, has been given the extra responsibility of overseeing client services for MNCs on a regional basis. This includes all of their cash management and trade finance needs.
"Simon's new role is in line with the bank's client coverage model in Asia -- a model which focuses on enhancing the MNC client's treasury management experience with JPMorgan," says Bruce Alter, vice president of treasury services based in Singapore. "This requires close co-ordination and interaction with in-country senior relationship managers throughout the region and those covering the US and Europe."
Jones has headed JPMorgan's corporate sales for Southeast Asia for three years. Prior to joining the bank he held treasury positions at the Omnicom Group and the London International Group. He is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers in the UK.
"Simon provides in-depth consulting advice on treasury and business financial process issues as well as innovative solutions tailored to meet the needs of our top tier corporate and institutional customers," says Alter. "He brings a wealth of experience about setting up and operating regional treasury centres and shared service centres."
The regional MNC role is a new one designed to improve the co-ordination of treasury functions performed by companies with their headquarters based in Europe or the US and a network of subsidiaries in Asia.
