LG Securities has hired Chris Kim to be its head of equity sales in New York, bringing Kim back into the 'local' fold after a brief meander with ABN AMRO.
Kim had spent three months with the Dutch firm as an equity sales specialist in the US, before deciding to go back to covering Korea in the US for a Korean securities firm.
Prior to ABN, Kim had worked for a couple of LG's bitter rivals, spending three years as head of Korean equity sales in the US with Samsung Securities, and four years in the same position with Hyundai Securities. He has also been based in London with Hanjin Securities, again in sales.
