The equity capital markets were subdued in the opening week of the third quarter, raising a total of $195 million from 11 issues. The league table rankings remain unchanged since last week with Goldman Sachs perched at the top with $8.3 billion and UBS and Citigroup following in second and third places.
The $84 million fully marketed deal for TaiwanÆs Key Ware Electronics was the largest issue for the week and led by Horizon Securities.
Debt Capital Markets
The debt capital markets had a quiet start to the quarter with zero trades. The rankings remain static with Morgan Stanley sitting in first place with $3.1 billion while Citigroup and UBS round out the top three.
A $150 million deal for Korea Exchange Bank priced late last week bumped HSBC up a notch to seventh place.
