After the bumper week in the equity capital markets with Bank of ChinaÆs listing, issuance dropped back to $368 million this week from nine deals. Goldman Sachs sits clear ahead in the league tables with $7.2 billion from 17 issues followed by UBS with $4.7 billion and Citigroup on $4.1 billion.
Melco International DevelopmentÆs $156 million bought deal was the largest issue of the week and was led by Credit Suisse. The deal enabled Credit Suisse to climb up a notch to seventh place with $2.2 billion from 12 issues.
Banyan Tree HoldingsÆ IPO of around $233 million is expected to price next week via bookrunners DBS and UBS.
Debt Capital Markets
The debt capital markets ground to a halt this week with zero trades. Total issuance for the year so far stands at $16.2 billion from 39 deals with Citigroup leading the charge with $2 billion.
