HSBC's payments and cash management division has made several hires in India, China and Indonesia.
Natasha Patel has been poached from the top cash job at Standard Chartered in India to head HSBC's efforts in that country. Patel joined Standard Chartered in 1991 and became the head of cash management in 1999. Prior to this, she looked after the liabilities portfolio in the corporate bank and was in credit management.
Patel has also been a relationship manager with Credit Lyonnais India. She started her career with La Compagnie Financiere and Edmond de Rothschild Banque in Paris and, after moving to India, joined American Express Bank as a relationship manager.
HSBC has also hired three new sales managers in China. Jill Han joins from Deutsche Bank in Shanghai where she has spent five years working with cash customers and developing product. At HSBC, she will focus on large multi-national customers. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Han was with HypoVereinsbank for three years.
Erin Huang and Michael Wu, both relationship managers prior to joining HSBC, were formerly with OCBC and Hang Seng Bank respectively. Huang has been in banking for five years, while Wu had previously worked at Accenture Consulting in Shanghai where he implemented business process reengineering projects for various corporates.
In Indonesia, HSBC has hired Vanda Kusumaningpuri from Standard Chartered where she spent 12 years working in payments operations, electronic banking, cash management implementation and product roles. Kusumaningpuri becomes a vice president of product management for HSBC's Indonesian cash division.
