FinanceAsia held its ninth annual awards dinner in Sydney last week to honour the winners of the 2011 Annual Achievement Awards for Australia and New Zealand. The event was held at a new venue this year — Watersedge on Walsh Bay — and more than 130 guests attended to receive plaques for their winning efforts, and take in the view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Issuers, bankers and service providers gave a short speech at the podium to thank their colleagues and clients. Some of the issuers attending the dinner included senior executives from Origin Energy, Woolworths, Wiggins Coal, Royal Wolf and Trade Me. The CEO of the Australian Office of Financial Management, Rob Nicoll, was also there to collect an award.
The RBS table picked up a case of wine for winning the trivia quiz, while several other guests received lucky draw prizes of a fruit tray, brandy, dinner vouchers and a spa treatment.
