This was the first time such a dinner had been held in the Philippines and was well received by all the attendees resulting in a strong attendance.
After an introduction speech by FinanceAsia, Manuel Salak, Country Head of ING in the Philippines presented the awards to the winning companies: Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Ayala Corporation, Ayala Land, Banco de Oro, BPI, Globe Telecom, Jollibee, Megaworld, Petron, PLDT/Smart, San Miguel, Security Bank, SM Investments and SM Prime.
Napoleon Nazareno, President and CEO of PLDT/Smart, the overall Best Company in the Philippines for the third year in a row, was also invited to make a speech. We pay tribute to all the winning companies as well as to Delfin Gonzalez from Globe Telecom who was named Best CFO in the Philippines.
