Johnson, who assumed his new position in March, is based in Hong Kong and responsible for handling the bankÆs clients throughout Asia.

Johnson managed a team of five traders covering Asian, European and US markets as head of the Asia equity finance team at HSBC. He built trading platforms for various products including swaps, contracts for difference (CFDs) and custom-built financing solutions.
Prior to that, he was head of Asian equity finance at the Hong Kong office of HSBC Securities Asia, and a product manager of the European equity finance department at the London office of HSBC Investment Bank.
Rabobank projects that the securities finance business will continue to flourish in the region as Asian exchange markets are experiencing substantial growth and investors are showing insatiable appetite to invest in the region.
Taking advantage of its strong franchise in Europe, the bank has pledged to build up a strong securities finance arm in Asia by delivering tailor-made financing solutions, providing customers with price-competitive products, growing balances and delivering assets in the region on the back of its strong balance sheet and competent credit rating.
