UBS has appointed Kathryn Shih as the country head and chief executive for the Hong Kong branch. In replacing Brad Orgill, who has relocated to Singapore earlier this year, Shih will report to Clive Standish, the CEO of Asia Pacific.
In addition to her existing responsibilities as the head of the bank's private banking arm, Shih's new title encompasses a wide range of new tasks, such as managing the UBS group relations with regulatory authorities in Hong Kong, and providing strategic advice on marketing and competitive positioning in the Hong Kong market.
