SoftBank and OpenAI agree Japanese AI joint venture

SoftBank has said it will spend $3bn annually to deploy customised AI across its group of companies; the JV, known as SB OpenAI Japan, will sell to Japanese firms.

US aritificial intlligence (AI) giant OpenAI and Japanese invesment firm SoftBank Group have agreed to develop and market advanced enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) called ‘Cristal intelligence’.
