Three technology executives have joined SPACE, an Asian internet advertising network, to enhance its in-house technology. They are Paul Walker, chief technology officer (CTO); Sultan Rehman, chief systems architect; and Wilson Wu, senior systems analyst. All are based in Hong Kong.
Walker will take over SPACE's technology infrastructure, including the planning and design of internet-based technologies, and day-to-day computing needs. He joins from james martin + co, where he was a consultant for clients such as the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), Merrill Lynch and ING Barings. Previously, he was a systems support manager with IS Department Limited, Hong Kong. He headed a team of technology consultant to provide frontline technical expertise, training and support to clients, who included The Disney Company and Universal Music.
As chief systems architect, Rehman will be the company's foremost expert on internet systems and the key decision-maker in software strategy. His responsibilities include looking after the company's front and back-end software systems, and managing the development and implementation of all new applications. Rehman has over 10 years' experience in software development and consulting. Like Rehman, he also joins from james martin + co, where he was a contract consultant. His duties were to provide technology advice and develop six cutting-edge wireless application protocol (WAP) systems. Before that, he was with APEX Medical Technologies as an IT director; and Oasis Systems Limited, as a co-founder.
Wu will be responsible for implementing applications and systems development, and designing the front-end software systems. He will work closely with Rehman. Previously, he was a systems analyst at System-Pro Computers Limited. Earlier, he worked for Gap International Sourcing Limited in the same position.
