Standard Chartered's wholesale banking division has received a further boost with Margaret Lee taking on the role as regional head for financial institutions (FI) in Greater China & Japan. The new role falls under the client relationships team at its wholesale banking division and will allow Lee to work closely with Mathew Welch, Standard Chartered's regional head, FI Asia and Andrew Bester, head of client relationships, Greater China & Japan on developing and implementing a business plan with an immediate focus on this region.
Previously, Lee was in charge of FI Greater China for Standard Chartered under which capacity she has been involved in creating a close working partnership amongst the network to promote cross border best practice migration, joint marketing and customer trading.
Before heading to Standard Chartered in 1987, Lee spent five years at Citibank Hong Kong as a senior relationship in the multinational division, responsible for European and US corporates.
