Subin Subaiah has made the transition from Deutsche Bank to Bank of America Global Treasury Services (GTS) to take on the role of senior vice president heading financial institutions (FI) sales across Asia. In the newly created position, Subaiah will be responsible for managing sales organisations that provide US-dollar cash management and other integrated trade services for the US bank's FI clientele in Asia.
For the past six years, Subaiah was Deutsche Bank's managing director running its FI cash sales and trade business. Before working for the German firm, Subaiah was at Bankers Trust.
"Asia is a terrific area of growth, not just in the obvious markets of China and India but in the other developing Asian economies," he comments. "The GTS business rides on the back of trade flows that are generated in these geographies. The robust intra-Asian as well as Asian-US trade flows present immense potential for Bank of America's GTS business in processing and financing these flows. I look forward to leading a very dynamic team in continuing to service our existing clientele as well as growing the franchise."
