A8 Digital Music Holdings: Betty Yip Ho will resign as chief financial officer of the China-based and Hong Kong-listed mobile phone ringtone and interactive voice response music company on January 15. She will be re-designated as a non-executive director but will continue her responsibilities as company secretary.
China Coal Energy Company: The China-based coal production and distribution company appointed Weng Qingan CFO on December 27. He has more than 30 years of capital operation and financial management experience. In addition he holds a degree in accounting from the China University of Mining and Technology.
China Paper Holdings: Ku Kin Shing resigned as financial controller of the China-based paper and paper chemical products manufacturer on December 29. Finance director Li Pengju and assistant financial controller Ee Tek Hung have assumed Ku’s responsibilities until the company finds a suitable replacement.
Europtronic Group: The Singapore-based company announced the resignation of CFO Chong Chee Seng on December 29. Leong Mei Theng, who was recently appointed group financial controller, has assumed Chong’s responsibilities until a replacement is found.
Hyflux: Cho Wee Peng was promoted to group CFO of the Singapore-based seawater desalination, raw water purification and waste water recycling and cleaning company on December 22. He was previously group executive vice-president and chief investment officer. Cho assumed the CFO responsibilities from group deputy chief executive Sam Ong who will focus on business development in the Middle East and North Africa for Hyflux.
Soho China: The Hong Kong-listed real estate investment and development company appointed Tong Ching Mau CFO on December 24. Her responsibilities include financial management, investor relations and corporate finance for the company. She holds a bachelor and master degree in economics from Fudan University and a master of business administration degree from Yale University.
