Bright Smart Securities and Commodities Group: The Hong Kong-based brokerage appointed Li Wan Mei as chief financial officer on October 30. She replaced former CFO and director Hui Wah Chiu who resigned on the same day. Li has more than five years of accounting experience and joined the company as assistant financial controller in February this year. She holds a bachelor degree in business administration from Lingnan University and is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
China Healthcare: Soh Yong Soon was appointed financial controller of the Hong Kong-based medical centre and nursing home operator on October 29. He replaced Li Meng Seng who resigned on the same day. Soh joined the company on June 1 this year as senior finance manager from Tiong Seng Holdings where he was group accounting manager. He is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore.
China Infrastructure Construction Corporation: The Singapore-based ready-mix concrete producer appointed John Bai as acting CFO on October 29. He will temporarily replace Yiru Shi who resigned on October 25. Bai will report directly to Rong Yang, chairman and chief executive of the company, and will be responsible for managing all financial operations including financial management, reporting, risk management, financial budgeting and investor relations.
EMS Energy: James Ng was appointed CFO of the Singapore-based gas, marine and oil industry engineering solutions provider on October 26. He has more than 18 years of accounting experience and was most recently financial controller at Global Industries Asia-Pacific. He holds a bachelor degree in accountancy from the Nanyang Technological University and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore.
Transcu Group: The Singapore-based life science company appointed Jenaline Low as acting CFO on October 29. She replaced financial controller Karen Choy Lye Wan who resigned on the same day. Low joined the company as chief operating officer from NTUC Healthcare Cooperative, where she was general manager, at the beginning of September.
