Vikesh Kotecha and John Chang will head the UK bank's Asia-Pacific equities business in a newly split role, replacing Nick Wright, who retired in March.
The acquisition will cost CIMB a net $256 million and the bank says it expects 350 to 400 RBS staff to join its ranks, including more than 80 senior managers.
The bank appoints Richard Stone as head of global cash equities sales trading in Hong Kong and Kim Yong Kook as head of cash equities in Korea, as part of the ongoing expansion of its equities business.
